Description

Interns needed for fashion photographer and photo editor/director of THE DAPIFER magazine, Jon Gordon. Great experience for anyone interested in a career in photography and related fields.

**This internship is unpaid -- for experience only.

This internship will include direct involvement with the business side of photography, something not usually taught in schools. It also includes direct involvement with the production of independent fashion magazine THE DAPIFER, a small curated quarterly based in New York with corporate partners and many photographers.

You will learn to network, find clients, and prepare and execute fashion and product photo shoots. You will walk away with knowledge of the photo, fashion, modelling, and magazine industries, and have job skills that can be immediately applied to the following professions:

Photographer
Producer
Photo Assistant
Digital Capture Technician
Videographer and Cinematographer
Studio Manager
Photographer's Agent
Model Agent
Sales Rep


There will be some responsibilities that are required, such as telephone outreach, research, and on-set assistance, but this internship will evolve and grow to fit your specific talents and areas of focus.

Responsibilities

Photography responsibilities will include active roles in the following :
-- organization of office and studio
-- cataloguing of images and contacts
-- preparation and execution of gallery shows
-- outreach to potential clients and business contacts
-- preparation and execution commercial, print, and fine art photo and video shoots
-- on-set lighting and digital capture assistance
-- location scouting and assisting
-- equipment rental
-- post-production
-- off-site research
-- website maintenance

Photo Direction responsibilities will include active roles in the following:
-- outreach to business contacts and potential partners
-- organization of contacts
-- photo production for the magazine
-- off-site research
-- magazine production
-- website maintenance

Requirements

Required
-- must be reliable, friendly, and professional
-- must have a laptop with wifi
-- must have internet access
-- must have valid driver's license
