DescriptionST is a fair trade wholesale company located in North Brunswick, New Jersey. We import a range of lifestyle and home products that are handcrafted with fair trade principles by non-profit groups and women’s co-operatives in Asia. We are proud to sell products that are sustainable and ethical. While the work environment is informal, there are many opportunities to learn and appropriate training is provided wherever needed.
We are currently looking for an photography intern. This intern will get broad and hands-on experience assisting with photography-related tasks at ST, including product photo shoots and image cleanup. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative sense for lifestyle photography and great attention to detail.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include preparing samples for photo shoots, helping to arrange products for photographing, taking still life and in-use product images, reviewing and distilling best images, image cleanup and more. The internship may also involve updating our website & facebook page with new photographs, preparing images for e-mail marketing and more. Please note this is an unpaid internship program. If you are selected we will work with your schedule and will gladly help you attain school credit for working with us! Minimum 10-12 hours per week.
Requirements• A working knowledge of digital photography, lighting, composition, and color quality.
• Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process improvement
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well both with others and independent of others
• Experience working with photo-editing software a plus.
