ICE HOCKEY IN HARLEM is a non-profit community based organization for youth that uses the sport of hockey to promote academic achievement, responsibility, teamwork and good character. The objective of the organization is to provide inspiration, encouragement and guidance to children leading to better life experiences, education and career opportunities. Since 1987, ICE HOCKEY IN HARLEM has enriched the lives of boys and girls from the Harlem community.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Shooting Ice Hockey in Harlem events, including programs. Some travel required but travel expenses covered.

Cataloging and maintaining digital photo archive and backup

Operating digital workflow and file management

Retouching/enhancing images in Photoshop

Formatting photos for print and web usage

This is an unpaid internship, candidates enrolled in a photography program would receive course credit.


Ice Hockey In Harlem is seeking a hardworking and self-motivated photography intern. Candidates should be talented individuals who can manage Ice Hockey in Harlem's photographic library and photograph programs, special events and other activities. Candidates must have a strong aesthetic eye and an appreciation for sports, hockey in particular. Evening hours are important and as agreed upon.
