Description

Provides each customer with exceptional customer service, a professional and fulfilling photography session and presents exceptional products. Carries out all activities required to achieve all studio goals, including sales and sitting objectives, customer experience, loss prevention and merchandise/portrait presentation while improving customer engagement. This is a part-time position that typically works up to 20-28 hours per week as per business needs.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managerial Duties

Manages staffing levels to ensure scheduling is adequate to handle business volume
Manages day-to-day performance of direct reports. Observes Photographer performance/behavior, identifies issues and opportunities for Photographer performance improvement and development, and conducts performance reviews of direct reports
Supervises and coaches performance of Customer Service Specialists
Prepares and conducts customer service training
Coordinates and conducts studio team meetings to provide training, recognition, appreciation, motivation, on-going photographic quality expectations, customer service expectations, and information on new and existing photography programs and equipment
Recruits, identifies and selects potential candidates for studio staffing. Onboard all staff to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures
Responds to difficult photography situations that arise at the studio and provides appropriate guidance to Photographers and/or Team Leaders
May be responsible for overseeing the coordination of the overall photography experience at the studio
Promotes a positive work environment by motivating staff and implementing retention strategies to maintain or improve employee satisfaction and engagement
Promotes open communication among photographers and customer service staff to ensure everyone is prepared for upcoming jobs
Ensures participation in company photography awards programs

Operations Duties

Develops and executes studio customer service and order assistance plans
Distributes promotional materials to customers and tracks responses to measure effectiveness
Communicates with the lab to ensure timely shipment of images

Additional Duties

Participates in ongoing training as provided and required by the company
Promotes all safety rules and guidelines
Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned

Requirements

Education :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related field preferred

Experience :

Experience working in both a team environment and independently strongly preferred
Experience working with children preferred
One (1) to two (2) years of customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and training
One (1) year of photography experience or equivalent combination of education and training

License :
Valid driver’s license required

Other (knowledge, skills and abilities):

Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Access to reliable transportation
Current auto insurance (compliant with all applicable state laws)
Strong leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Superior phone and customer service skills
Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software

The physical requirements described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary duties and responsibilities

When performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, balance, reach, use hands and fingers to perform repetitive tasks and assemble/disassemble equipment. The employee must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds (and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds).
