DescriptionLa Casa Learning Center has paired up with various institutions in Hebron to offer a special program devoted to learning Arabic and providing internship opportunities. Internship work will include duties in the area of development, international relations and human rights. This program offers Arabic classes structured around your work day.
Total: 30 hours of Arabic monthly
Minimum two months enrollment
This program is designed to allow you to gain valuable Arabic language skills plus gain experience in development, human rights and international relations work. Partners in this program include The Palestinian Ministry of Tourism, Bani Na'im Municipality, Hebron University, Women of Hebron (NGO), Hebron Rehabilitation Committee, Social Rehabilitation Society (Al Fawwar) and 6 other partners.
At the completion of the program participants will gain a certificate for completion of beginner, intermediate or advanced level Arabic course and a letter of recommendation by the internship supervisor.
ResponsibilitiesThe structured week will be as follows:
Sunday: Arabic Class 9:00-10:30
Monday: Arabic Class 9:00-10:30
Tuesday: Arabic Class 9:00-10:30
Wednesday: Arabic Class 9:00-10:30
Thursday: Arabic Class 9:00-10:30
Friday & Saturday: No work or class
RequirementsApplicants should be enrolled in an university degree program or have completed one in the 3 years prior to submitting the application. Applicants must be fluent in English (speaking, reading & writing).
Following review of your application and completion of the interview process, if accepted into the program, you will be provided with two or more internship options. You will chose your final internship choice out of the offers.
Start and end dates are flexible, however, for this program enrollment must be for 2 months. There is a fee for this program which includes housing and Arabic courses.
