Democratic Political Campaigns - Monmouth CountyBookmark This
Monmouth County Democrats
1390 State Route 36
DescriptionInternship opportunities are available with exciting Democratic campaigns in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
This opportunity is unique because interns will be working at the county political party, the hub of all politics throughout Monmouth County and the gatekeeper for those outside of the county. Interns will not be stuck simply making yard signs or phone calls. Their efforts will have a significant impact on the success of the party, and subsequently each particular campaign it focuses on.
Being at the hub, interns will be dealing with different individuals from different walks of life everyday, thus building a much more expansive network than any regular state legislative or congressional campaign. This is a great opportunity for PRE-LAW students to build relations with the many lawyers we deal with daily.
Focus for interns will be placed on the following:
• Public Relations and Communications
• Fundraising and Campaign Finance
• Issue and Opposition Research
• Maintenance of Information Systems
• Voter Outreach
• Event Planning
• Various other special projects
Summer, spring, and fall internships are available, both part-time and full-time. This experience is unpaid, but stipends are available for qualified applicants and we will work with institutions for academic credit.
This is a unique opportunity for interns to directly influence their own communities.
