The Green Economy, now, is a publication helping businesses respond to the risks and opportunities in adapting to and mitigating climate change. We cover finance, policy and technology. Our Social Science/Political Science/Economics/Liberal Arts associates help us to develop themes and articles that are posted on our website. In some cases, our interns do phone interviews after developing questions with senior staff and doing background research.

Duties: Post articles on website. Includes developing themes provided by public relation agencies, and original online exclusives developed with our team of writers and editors. Interns develop compelling headlines and opening paragraphs to appeal to internet readers, and learn how to attract an audience through the use of great content, well written and designed.


Must be able to work 10 hours a week, some of which must be at our Princeton office. Will be responsible for working with senior marketing/business development and editorial staff to develop and implement strategic objectives.


Requirements: Good writing and computer skills, persistence and a desire to learn.

Will Learn: In addition to learning more about a future green economy, will learn Drupal, a content management system (CMS) much like WordPress. It is easy to learn, and is a very powerful. In addition, it is fast becoming the most used CMS for Universities, large corporations and nonprofits.


Required - English, Basic Computer Skills, Good communication skills
Preferred - Basic Computer Skills, Social Media, Public Policy, Economic Analysis, Political Science
