DescriptionState Senator Geraldine Thompson is running for Congress in West Orange County’s 10th Congressional District and she needs interns to help on her campaign.
Anticipated start date is Summer 2016; the internship will end in November. Interns will receive a stipend of $500 a month.
ResponsibilitiesPLEASE NOTE: Before the formal internship begins, we highly recommend for any interested applicants go through a period of volunteering. This is to allow volunteers to get critical training as well as getting to know the staff.
Interns will learn a variety of campaign related skills through hands-on experience including, but not limited to:
. Fundraising Operations;
. Event Management;
. Field Operations;
. Voter Contact;
. Policy Research;
. Database Development
Requirements. Pursuing a degree, or graduated within the last two years;
. Access to reliable transportation;
. Good work ethic;
. Willingness to fight for progressive causes.
