The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is currently seeking interns for Winter 2014 to work with and assist researchers and diplomatic staff in the Political Section.


· Must be able to legally reside in the United States (The Embassy does not sponsor visas)

· Undergraduate, graduate, or recent graduate students

· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, effectively, and professionally

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

· Flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects as needed

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Monitoring current events and global politics

· Summarizing and distributing daily news and government agency information

· Organization and maintenance of government and think tank contact lists

· Researching and locating relevant material

· Attending and reporting on think tank events and seminars

· Administrative work as necessary



· Candidates should be able to start Febuary 2014 and be prepared to devote at least 4 consecutive months to the position

· Working hours are from 9AM-5:30PM (lunch break from 12PM-1:30PM), Monday-Friday

· US and Korean holidays are observed
