Description

Are politics leaving you feeling frustrated and uninspired? Are you an idealistic person who tells it like it is, and who wants more out of our political system? If so, the United Independent Party (UnitedIndependent.org) wants you as an intern.

The UIP is working hard every day so that Massachusetts politics are held to a higher standard
and that there is a greater diversity of voices in the process. If you're sick of the same "left vs.
right" partisan bickering, the UIP could be for you.

United Independent Party interns do real, meaningful work. You will be trained in what it means
to work in politics. Our interns learn highly transferable skills in public relations, campaigning, social media management, and community organizing. Interns who exceed expectations will have the opportunity to play a more significant role in shaping the development of the UIP.

Positions are based out of our Boston Headquarters.

Responsibilities

All interns will have real responsibilities that are unique for an entry level position.

Political and campaign interns will have training to use our database to identify prospective voters and communicate with existing ones. They will help organize locally in their communities forming town committees and registering voters. They will work and plan major events, meet candidates and Evan Falchuk party chairman, and meet our supporters in their communities.

Social media interns will have partial control over party accounts and will develop cutting edge content with some guidance but free rein to use their creative ideas and energy to create powerful pieces. Fluency in snapchat, twitter, instagram, and facebook a must. Videographers and photographers welcome, along with anyone with sound and video editing experience.
