Description

Campaign Intern -- Organize to Save the Arts and End Family Homelessness

Learn the ins and outs of local politics and hit the campaign trail with Proposition S, the citywide ballot measure that will increase funding for the Arts and help end family homelessness! This is the chance to be involved in change that truly will make San Francisco a better place.

You will develop your communication, strategic, and data management skills while being exposed to the inner workings of campaign management.

When is it:
This internship is September 2016 - November 18, 2016.

What you’ll gain:

Hands-on campaign experience.
Organizing and grassroot mobilization skills
Learn who the major players in SF politics are
Social media and database management experience.
Valuable relationships in San Francisco politics, nonprofits, and small businesses.

What you’ll do:

Work & attend political events.
Organize groups to support Proposition S.
Conduct political/demographic research.
Create social media and email content.
Use leading technology to aid in contact, volunteer, and fundraising data management.

Who you are:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Passionate about public policy and grassroots organizing.
Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Google documents/sheets.
Organized and detail oriented.
Social media savvy.
Flexible and self-motivated.
