DescriptionMichael O'Reilly is running for Congress this November 8, 2016 for the 5th Congressional District. O'Reilly lives in Queens with his wife, Angela- a native of Colombia, as well as with their son, Michael and his mother-in-law, Maria Mireya.
O'Reilly graduated from Florida Tech with honors and, after receiving an honorable discharged from the United States Marine Corp, attended New York Law School at night, while working 60 hours a week in the Financial District. In addition to being a licensed attorney, O'Reilly was also an airline pilot for Delta Airlines Express. He attributes any success he's had in life to two simple things - hard work, and perseverance. O’Reilly’s experience goes far beyond the court room and now spends his time as a Regulatory Attorney in the Financial District.
O'Reilly says that "If you are not happy with the way our politicians are handling the major problems that we all face every day in Queens, our neighborhood and in our country, then go out and vote this November - vote with your own heart and your own mind. I am a Republican running in a congressional district that is largely Democrat. Anyone who is registered to vote, whether they are democrat, republican, independent or other, CAN vote for me, and I hope they will, so that we can start representing the great and diversified people of Queens again.
