DescriptionCullerton for Congress is seeking Campaign Interns for his Senator Tom Cullerton’s Congressional Campaign. Tom is seeking the Democratic nomination for the 8th Congressional District being vacated by Congresswoman Duckworth. Candidates should be college students, high school seniors enrolled in AP classes or recent graduates who are looking to gain political experience. This internship is perfect preparation for joining a top campaign's field, finance, and political operation.
Elected to the State Senate in 2012, Senator Cullerton is one of leading voices for working families in the Illinois Senate. He was the first Democrat ever elected to the State Senate from DuPage County, a Republican stronghold in Illinois, after beating a 20-year incumbent. He has strong ties to labor and other Democratic constituencies. Having a strong record of fighting for working families and winning tough elections this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work in politics.
