Description

The Dallas County Democratic Party is a county-level organization that provides support for Democratic candidates and voters in Dallas County. We are committed to expanding opportunity for every Dallas County resident. That commitment is reflected in an agenda that emphasizes strong economic growth, affordable health care for all Americans, retirement security, open, honest and accountable government, and securing our nation while protecting our civil rights and liberties.

The Dallas County Democratic Party Internship Program is designed to provide prospective organizers with training and experience in grassroots campaigning.

DCDP Interns will be directly involved in dynamic local, statewide and national campaigns, and they will learn first-hand how to use voter contact methods and online organizing to increase community engagement, mobilize supporters, and communicate with voters countywide.The program is a 10-20 hour per week commitment, and interns will be directly responsible for organizing events, managing volunteers, and talking to voters about the issues at stake this election.

Responsibilities

The intern will help the Special Projects Manager coordinate events, voter registration events, manage volunteers, research, and other day to day office duties. Must be comfortable working with data and spreadsheets.

Requirements

Desire to work at grassroots level.

Required - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Social Media, Computer, Critical Thinking, Research, Communication
Preferred - Bilingual-English/Spanish, Photoshop, Logo Design
