Description

The Development Intern will experience the inner workings of a fast-paced political campaign. Lisman for Vermont is seeking qualified candidates for winter and spring internships working out of our Montpelier office. Join a movement to lead our state down a new path of economic security and prosperity, societal wellness, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to think outside-the-box; manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. The intern will assist with overall operations allowing for ample opportunity to use his/her existing skills while developing new foundations and gaining new experiences.

Responsibilities

• Political Strategy – Research and Development
• Day-to-day presence on the campaign trail
• Monitor and tracking campaign database
• Assist in the preparation for events
• Phone banking and door knocking to develop constituent connections
• Prepare campaign literature, walk books, and other materials supporting the day-to-day operation of the campaign

Requirements

• Student of Political Science, Communications, or Business/Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Comfortable with social media and web technologies
• Internet and media research
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation

Work Schedule and Stipend
• Ten to twenty hours per week
• Stipend may be available
