DescriptionThe Broward Democratic Party is hiring a Political Intern to provide research, special projects support, and staff resources assistance to the Executive Director and work closely with the Deputy Political Director. Interns will also assist and attend meetings, trainings, community events, fundraisers and other Party projects as needed. The Broward Democratic Party has devoted itself to giving leadership opportunities to men and women who are interested in the political process and willing to work hard. Internships are available at Party Headquarters located in Plantation, FL. Interns play an important role in the office by assisting with data entry, answering phones, and responding to messages.
ResponsibilitiesOperations interns will work primarily on tasks related to the operations department but will be exposed to other key components of the party including political strategy, messaging, general research and communications. Interns fill in at the front desk on occasion and manage the front lobby, answer the phone, sign in and assist appointments.
RequirementsUndergraduate or Graduate Student
Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week
General computer skills
Writing and research proficiency
Excellent organizational and time management skills
