We will start by going out into the community to see exactly what the biggest concerns are that are affecting our society. We intend on making our nation more aware of the concerns of the less fortunate and victimized. As well as getting individuals more involved in the communities, and providing the communities with the fundamental tools to help individuals reach their goals.

Nurturing America is a new organization that is partnering with seasoned professionals while also discovering fresh talent to employ in order to establish Nurturing America as a diversified and leading organization. This opportunity will cultivate students interested in social justice, economic empowerment, business development community healing, legislative changes, healthcare reform, environmental policies and mentoring the youth. We are looking for individuals to convey Nurturing America's vision/mission into a life-changing experience and/or career!

Responsibilities

Conduct demographic research, think tank sessions/town hall meetings, and census surveys as assigned. Coordinate with staff effectively. Perform analysis and trending of data gathered in exit polls during election period. Ensure that all research follow the rigors of scientific statistical methods. Write
Interns are required to do research and writing on issues related to civil justice issues (past and present) that are negatively affecting our society. Articles should be well-written, researched and be of publishable quality. Interns will be given topics on which to write or research but self-designed topics are acceptable if appropriate. Research and writing projects will be attributed to their authors. The internship is a unique and rare opportunity for students to publish scholarly work that will create legislative changes!
The Senior Research Analyst will manage ongoing research and evaluation projects. Primary duties:
• include supervising evaluation projects, contributing to new proposals, preparing evaluation reports, and writing grant applications.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of evaluation projects;
• Communicating the evaluation plan and its details to staff, affiliates, and citizens of the community
• Managing the collection of quantitative and qualitative data;
• Summarizing and analyzing data;
• Writing the evaluation section of grant applications;
• Summarizing and explaining research findings and their implications;
• Preparing findings for publication;
• Reviewing and abstracting published research

Requirements

Ideal candidates will be undergraduate students majoring in Philosophy, Economics, Public Policy, Politics, History, Law, or Journalism, or graduate students pursuing a master or doctoral degree in these fields. The candidate should have strong writing, research, and inter-personal skills, and be eager to take the initiative. Access to a web camera is a requirement.
