DescriptionSenator Kirk serves the people of Illinois in the United States Senate and works for the benefit of all residents of Illinois by supporting policies to lower government spending and taxes. To achieve those goals, Sen. Kirk seeks bipartisan solutions, supports an end to earmark spending and encourages lawmakers to enact a presidential line-item veto and approve the late U.S. Sen. Paul Simon’s Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution.
The Internship Program will provide students and recent graduates with a hands-on learning experience. Each intern will participate in the political process and earn valuable hands-on experience. In addition to experience, those who complete the required hours will receive a letter of recommendation from Campaign Manager Kevin Artl. You may also earn school credit*.

ResponsibilitiesRecruiting and scheduling volunteers, collecting petition signatures, contacting and coordinating with candidates and the Republican party, aiding in writing and analyzing reports, general office management and data analysis.
15+ hours per week. Beginning in the Fall Semester. (Dates flexible depending on College)
