AT&T Student Intern - (Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA)
AT&T is seeking Interns to fill the role of Supply Chain Professionals who will optimize the global supply chain and improve the timely and efficient throughput of requirements to Business Partners over an approximate 12 week term during the summer.
The Company culture is large-market sized but innovative and entrepreneurial. Work teams are typically matrix-based delivering results impacting multiple disciplines, commodities or business segments domestically and/or internationally.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced cross-functional environment will be key to success in the program. Program deliverables will be focused on improving customer experience, operational efficiency and overall cash flow.
The position requires the ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to improve the supply chain. We are interested in individuals with a demonstrated commitment to building professional relationships, continuous cost and quality control improvement and those with a deep understanding of supply chain metrics and financial measures.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic coupled with a sense of urgency and solid communication and collaboration skills. Additionally, candidates will possess experience and/or understanding of complex domestic and international supply chain disciplines.
Positions may exist in a variety of Supply Chain roles / disciplines (e.g., Should Cost, Sourcing, Purchasing, Fleet, Transportation, Logistics, Supplier Diversity, Quality and Performance Management). Work locations vary depending on needs of the Business Unit Sponsor. Domestic U.S. travel may apply.
Required Qualifications -
Must be enrolled at an accredited four-year U.S. college or university for the upcoming semester
GPA of 3.0 or better on a scale of 4.0
Have demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by extracurricular activities
Indicating a strong interest in AT&T as a career choice
Desired Qualifications -
GPA of 3.2 or better on a scale of 4.0
Should be in the top half of class rankings
Working toward a college degree such as an MBA, PhD, or JD
Contract development and negotiation experience; knowledge of business law
Experience with logistics & freight modeling in a multi-modal environment
Logistics (warehousing, distribution, 3PL, etc.) and fleet operations experience
Ability to manage client & vendor relationships and work productively within a team
Knowledge of import/export and trade compliance requirements
Experience leading high-impact Quality projects (Six Sigma, Lean, TL9000, etc)
Understanding of telecom technology, industry trends, market conditions and demand
Understanding of supply chain systems and applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Understanding of the role of Supplier Diversity and Sustainability programs
Ability to analyze large data sets and formulate value-add conclusions
Ability to think strategically & fiscally and the ability to influence and persuade
Strong project management. & technical skills (MS Suite, etc.)
