Description

Nueva Vida is a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization founded in 1996 by a group of Latina breast cancer survivors and health professionals to address the gap for culturally sensitive bilingual support services for the Latina community. As the only organization of its kind in the area, we strive to improve the health outcomes and enhance the quality of life of medically underserved Latinas.

Responsibilities

Assist in various different tasks related to providing service to Latina women in the Richmond metropolitan area. From office work to interpretation at a personal level and over the phone. Assisting participants filling out paperwork, setting up appointments. Making phone calls and sending out written information by mail. Coordinate with Access Manager and help in the planning of events and meetings.

Requirements

Bilingual English - Spanish is a must. With ability to read and write in Spanish at a professional level. Medical terminology proficency in both languages. Computer skills are required. Detailed oriented and self-motivated.
