OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT
The Ad Sales team job is rather simple: drive revenue from any company in the world (or least those that are legal) while maintaining an acceptable profit margin. If we go by the book, we’ll pitch, present, push and/or leverage the amazing product & services that SpinMedia offer. If we don’t go by the book (and often we don’t) we’ll pitch, present, push and/or leverage whatever the client says they want. We work with ad agencies and clients to understand who they’re targeting, the message they’re trying to sell and how they’ll determine if we’re successful for them. We take that input and share it with all of the smart teams that support us. They do the heavy lifting and then ad sales has to do whatever it possibly takes to sell it. If we have a great idea or a better brand than the next guy or simply a better relationship, our odds of winning the biz are very good. Simply said, to be successful in sales it takes a little science, lots of hard work and luck.

Responsibilities

Account Management Interns must demonstrate multi-tasking skills, strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently as well as within a group. You will not only get to learn the fundamental work of the Account Management Department you will also have exposure to other facets of SpinMedia.

o Interns provide critical support to the Account Management team to effectively meet campaign goals
o Gather client intelligence
o Assist in presentation development
o Manage campaign reports
o Participate actively in internal meetings and brainstorm sessions.
o Communicate professionally among internal teams

Requirements

o Passionate about pop culture and looking to LOVE their internship!
o Interest in Digital Media/Advertising
o Knowledge of various Social Media platforms
o Microsoft Office Skills are a MUST, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
o Strong data entry skills
o Good writing skills
o Strong attention to detail
o Exceptional relationship-building skills
o High energy individual who thrives in a fast paced environment
o Ability to work well with different personalities and within a team setting

INTERN(S) MUST RECEIVE SCHOOL ACADEMIC CREDIT TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SpinMedia's INTERNSHIP PROGRAM.
