DescriptionThis internship position is designed to assist the Insurance Reporting & Analysis group with the preparation and execution of year end process.
Assist in the preparation of the Year End Separate Account Statements.
Updates excel spreadsheets with changes related to these statements, including but not limited to, fund name changes, fund additions, fund deletions and format changes.
Review statement changes made by Shareholder Publishing group to ensure accuracy.
Communication with other groups/individuals within Finance and Fidelity may be required.
Confirm prior year data accuracy.
Use of financial software systems (Essbase/Oracle) to refresh reports and ensure data accuracy.
Assist in providing schedules and other analysis for external audits.
Participate in other projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of accounting/financial principles is preferred.
Exposure to an accounting environment is preferred; as is the familiarity with computer spreadsheets (Excel is recommended).
Excellent research, communication and organizational skills as well as ability to pay attention to detail are required.
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills is also required.
Education and Experience
High School or equivalent plus current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting.
