DescriptionThis position supports tasking for Program Manager Mission Command (PM MC), Fire Support Command and Control (FSC2) Branch at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. Tasking for this position spans across a wide range of Command and Control Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) tasks. Successful candidate will perform ILS tasks to include provisioning and supply support, cataloging, documentation, technical writing and analysis, and budget tracking. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Provide logistics support analysis to support FSC2 family of systems - Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Pocket-sized Forward Entry Device (PFED) and Gun Display Unit-Replacement (GDU-R). Support the development and review of various ILS documents to include Material Development Decisions (MDD); Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP); milestone decision strategies/justifications; materiel release packages; supportability strategies and alternatives; configuration management; and software acquisition risks and methodologies. Participate in and prepare data for meetings and conferences; gather failure data on warranty and out of warranty repairs and provide analysis to team leaders on failure trends, with the objective to improve reliability/availability and maintainability of these systems; perform logistics functions and activities; and provide assistance to the FSC2 Program Management Office to ensure compliance and implementation with policies.
Education: A Bachelors degree and minimum of 6 years of experience is required. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. A DAWIA Level III Certification in Logistics and familiarization with AR-70-1 is desired.
Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate should be well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and have the ability to meet project quality expectations and schedule commitments with limited direction and supervision. Excellent reading, writing, and interpersonal skills are required. Candidate must have a working knowledge and experience of Army/DoD logistics policies and processes. Selected candidate must have the ability to work with military and civilian personnel at all levels. Candidate must be familiar with acquisition logistics, Microsoft Office suite of software tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
