Actuarial Interns are an important part of our Development Program. Our Interns perform meaningful work in an environment that supports their learning. Actuarial Interns have assignments in many of our lines of business, as well as our Corporate Office. They learn about Personal and Commercial products while working in a variety of disciplines such as financial reporting, ratemaking, reinsurance, research, reserving, underwriting, etc. At Liberty Mutual, our Interns:
- Gain knowledge about the insurance business and acquire actuarial experience working with one of our many Actuarial groups
- Assist in the preparation of rate level indications
- Perform various actuarial analyses under supervision
- Attend formal training where they learn key actuarial concepts
- Have an Actuarial Student 'Buddy' to answer questions, help guide them in their first days, and support them during their Internship
