Professional development -- you'll expand your skills and develop new ones that will be very valuable to you in your career. For example, if you don't already know Visio, you'll learn it. As you become familiar the preferences and habits of these executives, you will become a valuable resource to them and their department. Our company is growing, and so are opportunities for our top performers.
Resources to set you up for success -- you'll be stepping into a strong team of Administrative and Executive Assistants. We have cultivated a non-hierarchical, team-oriented culture that is truly collaborative, where everyone works together to ensure tasks are completed, so you will be just as welcome to call on others for help as they will be to call on you.
Strong brands, strong company -- The Hardware Home Improvement group has well-known brands, many of which you may have in your own home. HHI has a solid financial profile, a history of success and revenues exceeding $1 billion. We enjoy the resources of Spectrum Brands, our $3.25 billion parent corporation, as well as wide latitude in running HHI.
Great culture -- you'll benefit from a strong, collaborative culture within an organization extremely focused on its people. We understand that our success depends upon hiring and retaining great people who share the values deeply embedded in our culture: demonstrate unyielding integrity, deliver on commitments, win through teamwork, and inspire excellence.
Excellent compensation -- in addition to a competitive wage, we offer a premium benefits package that include all that you would expect plus a few things that might surprise you, such as healthcare and dependent care reimbursement accounts, educational assistance, and more.
Keys to Success
This position will challenge all of your multi-tasking and project management abilities while helping you to expand your business experience and skills. Pivotal to your success will be a proactive, service-oriented attitude as you juggle many administrative balls and stay adaptive to the needs in an evolving environment. It will be critical for you to showcase interpersonal finesse, poise and professionalism -- while balancing the administrative needs of our Department Executives and the Engineering team. You also will need to help employees feel welcome and comfortable in seeking you out for a variety of tasks that will help expand the department's capacity.
To excel in this role you will have the organizational smarts and "grace under pressure" to handle a steady volume of work that is constantly changing. Prioritization will be pivotal; we expect that you'll grasp the priorities pretty quickly, but we'll also look to you to ask when you need guidance. In addition, you will:
----Leverage your creativity and initiative in figuring out how to get things done and assume ownership of your goals and activities with a minimum of supervision.
----Manage the various "moving parts" involved with this function and deliver highly accurate work (particularly mastering the PO requisition process) on a consistent basis.
----Show off your forward-thinking savvy as you anticipate and head off conflicts before they occur.
