DescriptionPerforms administrative support for department managers, assigned units/clinic program. Responsible for ensuring departmental functions are adequately supported through various disciplines encompassing reports and presentations, data gathering and analysis, purchasing, clerical duties, quality assurance and acting liaison to outside contacts. Coordinates administrative activities, organizing and distributing information to staff and clients. Provides unique expertise on specific tasks and projects associated with individual departments, with discretion and judgment through organization, coordination, problem-solving, task management and may supervise and oversee coworkers.
Education: High School Diploma; and or secondary higher education certificate, BS/BA or equivalent preferred.Experience: Minimum 2 years experience working in a medical office with secretarial responsibilities and competing timelines; or other organization managing multiple projects deadlines and disciplines. Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning records management and general administration.Knowledge: Complies with regulatory requirements appropriate for position( TJC)Special Skills and/or Equipment Used: Personal computer skills including word processing and presentation with intermediate to advance knowledge of all MS Office applications. Time management and organizational skills managing competing deadlines. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Interpersonal skills in working with all levels of management and staff. Excellent customer service skills in working with patients, employees and outside business associates relating to assigned duties. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.
