- The Ambulatory Care Associate, (ACA), is a member of the patient care delivery team, and as designated per established policies and procedures, assumes primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The ACA works under the supervision of an Administrator, a Registered Nurse (RN), Physician, or Non-Physician Provider (NPP) who delegates tasks based upon both patient and clinic needs. The ACA will report all deviations from expected patient parameters to the RN, physician, or NPP. The ACA position necessitates significant contact with an RN, Administrator, Physician or NPP, patients, and families, thus warranting a high degree of interpersonal and customer service skills that promote a caring and healing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED.Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant Program, a Certified Medical Assistant Program, or equivalent training.Previous Ambulatory experience preferred.
