Extraordinary Minds Learning Center is a not for profit agency that serves individuals with autism and related disabilities. We use a developmental, relationship based treatment model with our clients and their families. Our services are provided at little to no cost to families and we are the only center on Staten Island using this approach. We are currently providing socialization groups as well as parent training.
Responsibilities
We are looking for interns to assist the director and other staff in the daily activities of the center which will include working as a liaison to families, maintaining records and attendance, assistance with fundraising and assisting staff during direct service to individuals and families.
Requirements
Applicants should have some interest in working with children and families. Some coursework in psychology or child development is preferred but not required.
