Dealer Tire is an international tire, maintenance and light-repair product distributor that partners with automobile manufacturers including Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Nissan, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo to create complete replacement tire, maintenance and light-repair programs for their dealerships. We put safe vehicles on the road and help vehicle manufacturers and dealerships increase profitability.
We have a need for five total interns in our IT departement; consisting of (2) in Web Development, (2) in Management Information Solutions and (1) Software Development. The interns will work closely with the team leads or manager of the respective group in which they will be interning. Performing testing, tracking projects and participating in the entire software development process.
Responsibilities
Develop, test and implement leading edge solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Collaborate with web development staff for the development, troubleshooting and testing of web based business applications using defined development processes, standards, and methodologies.
Participate in the entire software development life cycle for enterprise class Business-To-Business (B2B) and Business-To-Consumer (B2C) applications.
Track project and support time using existing Dealer Tire processes.
Performs unit testing prior to moving code/configuration to the QA process and supports QA activities as needed.
Execute testing prior to deployment in multi-browser environment.
Requirements
Must be recently graduated, or currently enrolled in a school seeking a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Proficiency in the design, implementation and tuning of applications utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CFML, XML, XSLT, Java, JSP, JDBC, web services, SOAP, web servers (IIS 5.0/6.0), application servers (ColdFusion 5 or MX).
Excellent communication skills: presentation, written, and oral.
Basic knowledge of database concepts using SQL Server 2000/2005.
Basic knowledge in web applications development in the Adobe Suite of Products, Macromedia Flex, Flash, AJAX, and/or ActionScript is a plus.
