DescriptionAs part of the Information Services team, the Wealth Management Technology Team drives the vision to create an industry leading, client-centric wealth technology experience. This group is looking for a "forward thinking, action oriented" individual to help drive the implementation and development of innovative, cutting-edge solutions.
This position supports the development and implementation of Wealth Management?s technology roadmap.
This role has a key responsibility within the bank to ensure that the client experience within Wealth Management maintains the highest standards of the Bank.
You will work with subject matter experts from the user community to determine business requirements for wealth management systems, translates these requirements into functional specifications and detailed systems design documents, and participates in the full development process life-cycle from concept through testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support.
This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process and workflow knowledge, systems requirements, including the security and data retention requirements of corporate systems, and user acceptance testing.
You will elicit, analyze, specify, develop and validate the business needs of projects, and is responsible for documenting business processes and requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Product Management, business, and technology partners to jointly identify needs and deliver the next generation of wealth management technology solutions.
Conduct interviews with a broad audience to define business, financial, and operations requirements, and systems goals. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
Develop and communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications ? verbally and through written documentation ? to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
Conduct research on wealth management software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Assist in the development of training material and test plans/cases, and in the pre and post-production testing of applications.
Establish best practices benefiting all aspects of the business.
Break down complex problems into actionable steps that drive results.
Actively engage with the engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation.
Communicate results and insights with project teams and stakeholders (e.g., through live presentations and ongoing analysis/reports).
BA in Business or Computer Science required
5+ years of relevant work experience with background in wealth management.
5+ years of relevant experience in business analysis and/or project management
Strong quantitative and analytical skills - ability to quickly analyze data to identify key insights and apply them to the business
Clear, high-level understanding of complex systems integration/delivery and software development activities/deliverables
Focus on development/ improvement of products and services to support continuous evolution of a more competitive and profitable Bank
Strong orientation to clients, including demonstrated ability to understand needs and apply this knowledge to innovative product enhancements, user experience, and communication content
Understanding of traditional and alternative asset class investment data, including but not limited to equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, derivatives, mutual funds, ETFs, global assets, foreign exchange, etc.
Gains support for change by providing context and responding with sensitivity to concerns; takes initiative to recommend/ develop innovative approaches to getting things done
Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is a team player and encourages collaboration
Knows Portfolio management, accounting, and trading systems; Performance reporting and portfolio reporting systems; Financial and market data management; Portfolio data aggregation platforms;Asset allocation modeling; Wealth management processes ? front, middle, and back office operations, and compliance; SharePoint, MS Office
