Description
Here’s an exciting opportunity for students in a vibrant radio newsroom. A variety of meaningful learning opportunities and on-the-job training experiences are available for undergraduates, as well as graduate & postgraduate students. Experiences range from production and newsroom opportunities across all media platforms for the region's newest News/Talk radio station. This is more than just picking up coffee for reporters and on-air talent. Interns at WWIQ (IQ 106.9) will be hands-on tackling tasks like production, news gathering and making contributions to the station’s website and social media outlets.
WWIQ interns will be supervised by seasoned media professionals. College credit may be granted. Internships are unpaid.
Students will be selected through a competitive application and interview process for internships during three term periods: fall (September to December), winter-spring (January to May) and summer (June to August).
