AppSnatcher is an exciting MIT-based startup at the intersection of mobile applications and large data analysis. The founding team includes graduates and students of Harvard, MIT and Tufts with prior startup successes. The team is addressing some of the most interesting and pressing problems facing mobile app users and developers today.
Stage: Two of our products are in beta testing and have received superb reviews from beta users. Beta launch will be expanded to late winter for iPhone & iPad users and for mobile app publishers.
Compensation: Internships are unpaid. Accepted applicants will be working with a very capable team of engineers and entrepreneurs in one of the most exciting and fastest growing marketplaces. Compensation includes use of work product in personal portfolio, work experience in a successful startup and interaction with experienced founders at an innovative company. Achieving interns will have the opportunity to grow with the company.
Responsibilities
We are looking for someone with excellent English written skills, and a passion for mobile, games and startups.
Researching and tagging various mobile apps
Developing a categorization system and testing a new app search engine
Exceptional interns will have the chance to work on strategy, blog posts and marketing initiatives
Requirements
Please be articulate, a fast learner, a motivated self-starter, detail oriented, interested in startups and generally awesome!
Ability to commit 5-10 hours over first few weeks for initial stage of project
Exceptional research, communication, and analytical skills
Very responsible: delivers work on time and responds to clarification questions
Interest in mobile apps and video game knowledge is a plus
Good understanding of social media
