Frontier Communications has an exciting Internship opportunity in our Human Resources department. The chosen candidate will take part in the following:
The Human Resources Intern will have responsibility in all facets of Human Resources for the Rochester and Eastern Regions with an emphasis on employee and labor relations, leaves of absences, disability administration, and terminations. Providing excellent customer service for both internal and external customers will be crucial to this role. Heavy day-to-day administration of policies procedures and fielding general HR inquiries. This position works closely with the Director of HR and the HR Managers.
Project work to include, but not limited to:
Coordination and attendance of upcoming HR events
Work closely with our Director and HR Manager on various HR initiatives in the fields of Labor and Employee Relations.
Graduate or Undergraduate student (junior or senior) pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Industrial/Labor Relations and/or equivalent.
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Team Player with good organizational and planning skills. Ability to pay close attention to detail is required. Prior HR internship experience (a plus). Demonstrated leadership ability. Demonstrated ability to use and apply analytical skills. Ability to proactively identify and resolve potential problems. Self-starter, ability to operate independently with a minimum of supervision is required although HR staff will communicate frequently regarding progress of assignments. Solid research skills. Ability to successfully multitask. Proven experience with handling confidential and sensitive materials.
