Work with Change Management Communications Lead to develop communications materials for print and electronic media and for varied audiences, supporting a system-wide project to implement ICD-10 in all hospitals and entities throughout The Methodist Hospital System. KEY FUNCTIONS 1. Participates in executing strategic communications and promotional activities supporting the ICD-10 project. 2. Researches and develops editorial content supporting ICD-10, including print and electronic communications and collateral materials for Methodist internal audiences. 3. Performs background research on content for communications materials. 4. Manages content for the ICD-10 internal web site. 5. Provides support for communications market research among various audiences. 6. Supports and participates in defined department initiatives. 7. Applies knowledge and experience of journalistic best practices to assigned projects. SKILLS ' Seasoned and proficient in journalistic writing style, including AP Style ' Strong organizational, written and verbal communications skills ' Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage several ongoing projects simultaneously ' Self-starter who takes the initiative on tasks and projects. ' Commitment to the mission and goals of The Methodist Hospital System Computer Skills Working knowledge of MicroSoft Word, Excel and Outlook
EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or related field.
EXPERIENCE Required: Minimum of three years' experience in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing or related field. Demonstrated ability to produce production-ready editorial content.
OTHER Required: Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening as required and administered by Human Resources.
