Description

Availability: Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer semesters Hours: A minimum of 16 hours per week Internship Summary: Learn > Research > Write > Interview > Shoot > Produce > Post Interns will have a hands-on immersive educational experience producing content. Interns will learn and be required to perform all the media creation production tasks, from pre-production planning and production through post-production editing and posting. CPBN Media Lab graduates are employed by A&E, Discovery Networks, WTNH, The Journal Inquirer, Nickelodeon, Patch and CPTV Sports. Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities Research story ideas Conduct phone and on-camera interviews and manage schedule logistics Write and post articles Perform production tasks: video camera operation, sound acquisition and lighting placement Perform post-production tasks: video, sound and image editing, writing and posting Update social media content on the lab's Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr accounts Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Job Skills/Qualifications Experience with video cameras, sound and lighting equipment is desirable but not required Experience with Adobe Product Family including Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects is desirable but not required Experience with non-linear edit systems; Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro is desirable but not required Good interpersonal skills Thorough attention to detail Strong desire to learn
