DescriptionWe are ALWAYS looking for students who are passionate about social media, marketing, PR and/ or the entertainment industry to join the Cyber PR® team as an intern!
Cyber PR® is based out of Brooklyn, New York near prospect park in a 3-story modern brownstone filled with Andy Warhol paintings, old 60s posters, and behind the stage band picture which creates an attractive working atmosphere in a busy environment. We are a small team that specializes in new media publicity and promotion. Although we are a music based company we also work with authors, tech companies, and managers.
Cyber PR® is one of few companies that focuses on mastering the skill of social media promotion. We focus on building relationships with bloggers, podcasters, and artists in order to connect and create conversations between artists and their fans.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be a large part of the Cyber PR® team where you can see what your work does and the total outcome of your efforts. You will be pitching to blogs yourself, managing those relationships, creating wrap up reports for the artists, creating VPKs, writing blogs posts, and be given the opportunity to learn the bits and pieces that go into a smaller but growing business.
The décor of the office, house really, is laid back and the backyard garden is definitely a plus, but the company is very busy. You will be involved with a lot of different of the company, this includes writing blog posts about new media for our blog to coming up with a creative unique angle for our arts. This is not a data entry internship or coffee run internship, the work you do is important and requires creativity.
Cyber PR® are seeking out interns who are eager to learn, want responsibility, can be innovative, like to be challenged, and are dedicated to expanding their knowledge a new media business.
This is an unpaid internship for college-credit only.
Requirements-Love for the entertainment (especially music) industry
-Strong writing skills
-Familiarity with social media (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.)
-Ability to stay on task, follow directions
-Ability to receive college credit
*Some knowledge of Mac’s also a plus
