WHAT IS KRUSH ALL ABOUT?
Krush is the action sports and outdoor platform where you can discover what’s coming next from the brands you love. Post products you’re into, see what’s trending with the crowd and get exclusive previews of not-yet released gear and styles. It is a lifestyle network where you can curate the collection of brands and products that represent your life. On Krush, when you rate the products that your favorite brands are planning to produce, you’re telling them what you want to see on shelves next season. Predict what everyone wants in a brand’s SneakPeek, and we’ll hook you up with free gear from that brand.
WHAT ARE CAMPUS MANAGERS?
Campus managers are our on-campus ambassadors, an elite group of college students who want to set trends and make waves in the action sports industry. We hand-select the key influencers on-campus, allowing them to develop and adapt marketing campaigns and tailor them to their individual campuses. The goal, to create an underground movement connecting hundreds of thousands of like-minded individuals with one common denominator, extreme sports.
Responsibilities
OBJECTIVES
At Krush we understand that no one knows students better than students, which is why we work directly with campus managers to create these specialized campaigns. Students will work with the marketing department to create custom-tailored marketing campaigns specific to their campus and it’s student body. The 10-12 week internship will be broken down into several main categories:
Create Your Campus’ “Krushing It” Calendar.
• Your first task as a newly appointed campus manager will be to create a calendar of the key Krush(able) events on-campus and in your local area.
• This calendar will lay the groundwork for the remainder of your internship by identifying the events you wish to infiltrate.
Contribute to the Krush Website
• Share with your community what’s trending on your campus by posting at least 60 items per month to the Krush website using the “best practices” guidelines sent to you in your opening-day Krush Campus Backpack.
Partner with one major on-campus event
• What better way to draw a following than by partnering up with your campus rail-jam or kick-flipping contest? As a campus manager you’ll be required to co-sponsor a major action sports event happening on your campus.
• Exact details on the partnership will be hashed out after your Krush(able) calendar has been approved.
Street Team at least one event per month on-campus or in your community
• We already know the crowds are gonna be there, so why not drive the buzz towards Krush? “Street teaming” will include sticker bombing, flyering, photo recaps, and overall mission-spreading by engaging potential Krushers.
Facilitate the national campus vs. campus sign-up contest at your school
• During the course of your internship Krush will be running a nationwide campus vs. campus competition, driven by unique sign-up figures. It will be up to you to determine how your school is going to win.
• Prizes, rewards, parties, and a trophy will be rewarded to the winning campus and campus manager
Stoke the “Krush My World” contest fires
• The Krush My World contest is a semi-annual contest urging Krusher to post their craziest, most bad-ass photo or video of them going big.
• As a campus manager, it will be up to you to spread the word of the contest to ensure a student wins from your turf.
Blog It!
• Writing is an important part of any marketing job. We’ll require each campus manager to publish at least 2 blog posts to the Krush blog per month.
Bring it all together
• Document the events you attend, the people you Krush with, and at the end of the semester bring it all together in a 2-3 minute video, proving to your professors (and us) the hard work and dedication you’ve put into your time as a campus manager.
Pass on the torch
• You laid the groundwork, now it’s time you find someone worthy of walking in your shoes. You’ll help suggest key students who you think are worthy of wearing the mark of a campus manager
Requirements
TIME COMMITMENT
Campus managers should expect to devote between 10 and 15 hours a week as part of this program. (Also dependent on what your school’s credit requirements are.)
THE PERKS
There is no better way to learn than through real life experience. As campus manager you’ll learn about online and offline marketing from industry leaders. You’ll gain hands-on and practical experience in the fields of guerrilla marketing and social media, while learning from the Krush marketing team. As a campus manager you’ll also have a leg up on the competition for any future openings at Krush HQ. Additionally, you’ll be able to receive references and letters of recommendations for any future employment opportunities. Oh, and did we mention the swag? Krush will make sure that you’ve got enough swag from our brand partners to fill your dorm room closets and then some, so throw away that ratty coat, we’ve got you covered.
If this sounds too good to be true, drop us a line at reps@krush.com telling us why you deserve to be the next campus manager on your campus.
