College Reps for Enliken, a Cause-Related & Advocacy StartupBookmark This
DescriptionEnliken is a new way for people to support the causes they love – without opening their wallets.
Enliken believes that people should exercise their rights to their online profiles – the data that Facebook, Google and other large Internet sites collect and monetize.
But unlike those companies, Enliken generates proceeds from online profiles to benefit nonprofits, creative projects and other personal causes! It's all explained at http://enliken.com .
Enliken seeks college reps to intern remotely and, if desired, occasionally in the Brooklyn office. Interns can work around their schedule (5, 10 or more hours) starting immediately, over the summer, or in the fall, and can receive school credit and a merit-based letter of recommendation.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include helping other college students, friends and family members understand how Enliken works, and encouraging app trials. You will spend much of the time on Facebook and other social media platforms, as well as talking person-to-person on campus and off.
And, if Enliken interests you, but you'd rather customize your internship to fit your career goals better, please let us know. We're looking for amazing people from every corner and every background and recognize that everyone has something to contribute.
RequirementsCandidates should have basic social media skills, computer access, and their own smartphone with web browsing capabilities. They should appreciate innovation, consider themselves "early adopters" or thirst to be part of a game-changing startup. People with causes deeply personal to them, a strong interest in consumer action and starting a movement, and active Facebook and Twitter accounts are encouraged to apply.
This is a nonpaid position at a bootstrapped startup. There are in-kind perks which we can detail during the interview. Besides having fun, you'll be learning from a highly experienced and super-smart team. Enliken has an office in the Park Slope/Gowanus area of Brooklyn, NYC, close to the R, F and G subway stops.
Please reply if you think you'd be a good fit. We look forward to hearing from you.
