Job Description POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides overall functional and managerial leadership to an assigned staff program Civil Engineering processes. Responsible for satisfactory accomplishment of all aspects of customer support in the areas of Military Family Housing Management; Facility Maintenance; Environmental Management, Custodial Services and Space/Real Estate Management and Resource Management supporting program civil engineering requirements. Interfaces with customer-senior civil engineering/contracting management personnel, in addition to contractor-program management personnel, as required to resolve operational civil engineering customer support issues. Serves as the senior civil engineering representative in the Contingency Support Center when the Center is convened. Accomplishes other leadership and administrative tasks as required to ensure effective contractor civil engineering customer support.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Provides engineering technical assistance and expertise for all work requirements to sites and the government.
2. Manages conduct of an initial and follow-on-annual installation and facility condition survey/inspection to evaluate, identify, and document facility and system deficiencies in civil/structural, electrical, mechanical, and environmental areas.
3. Ensure survey/inspection includes, at a minimum, status/conditions of current year projects, proposed projects, facility interiors and exteriors, slabs and foundations, other structures, roads, grounds, drainage systems, utility systems, power generation equipment, fire protection/detection equipment, and physical security aides.
4. Control all CE work according to overall Maintenance Control Plan.
5. Schedule work requirements with contractor in-service personnel resources to perform services, preventive maintenance, routine corrective maintenance, and minor emergency maintenance.
6. Prepare and maintain a 12-month schedule of work to effectively allocate resources.
7. Documents a monthly work status report. Identifies, develops, and submits all project requirements to include modification or proposed improvement to existing Real Property, Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE), or Real Property Similar Equipment (RPSE), and new construction to enhance the program.
8. Performs other duties and assignments as required
Required Experience: Education: Must be an accredited Professional Engineer with a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a civil engineering discipline, with a graduate degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of twelve years experience as a senior-leader of a diverse civil engineering organization. Must be intimately familiar with military civil engineering processes and procedures.
