Regular Position Summary Purpose:
Oversee the data systems of multiple care processes within a single clinical program; responsible for the coordination of the development of measures in collaboration with others; provide crucial clinical context and direction to the development, design, implementation and maintenance of all information systems used in delivery of care for a specific clinical program or a specific clinical support service with the purpose of these information systems enhancing and supporting the effective delivery of care and measuring the impact of clinical program and clinical support service initiatives on clinical outcomes and cost outcomes; responsible for the integrity and integration of data across the care delivery organization.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of clinical based care delivery processes; relevant clinical knowledge, computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project) and experience in maintaining the integrity of a database; a moderate to high knowledge of statistics and their use in outcome reporting. The ability to perform database queries with SQL, experience in development of screen / web based data entry and review applications; maintain a high degree of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment; demonstrate strong critical thinking skill through work history; use strong organizational skills and experience in project management; use strong communication skills (both verbal and written) enabling effective communication with clinicians as well as with IS technical staff and employees at all levels; handle highly sensitive and confidential material and adhere to data security and confidentiality protocols and procedures.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline (such as nursing or other related field; master's degree in medical Informatics, business administration or equivalent; five (5) years of clinical care experience required.
