Description

This position is responsible for assisting the communications team with projects that promote and increase the Ohio Donor Registry and maximize organ and tissue donation. · Conducts media relation activities under direction of the Community Relations Manager and Media Relations/Community Outreach Coordinator to increase Ohio Donor Registry rates. · Prepares and distributes news advisories and releases. · Compiles and routes media clips. · Provides support for planning and executing special events to increase Ohio Donor Registry rates. · Assists in interviewing and drafting speaker scripts under the direction of communications team members. · Performs a variety of duties at events, as assigned by event coordinator. · Analyzes event programs and procedures and provides feedback for improvement. · Assists communications team in projects to increase opportunities to promote donation awareness and the Ohio Donor Registry to new audiences · Manages National Donor Sabbath outreach under the direction of the communications team members. · Completes set-up for staff health fairs and other educational venues with assistance from the communication team members. · Observes and participates in community education programs, as needed. · Serves as ‘Honey Bee’ mascot/handler. · Performs other duties as required or assigned.
