HootSuite is a social media management system for businesses and organizations to collaboratively execute campaigns across social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ Pages from one secure, web-based dashboard. Advanced functionality includes tools for audience engagement, team collaboration, account security and comprehensive analytics for end-to-end measurement and reporting.
Our flock is in search of a Community Ambassador who will work with the North & South America Community Manager to plan and execute community-building programs and activities for North America East. The ideal candidate will have interdisciplinary skills which combine marketing, communications, administration, and community building.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with administration and management of regional community building programs
- Seeking and recruiting regional brand ambassadors
- Participating in conversations with users
- Organizing and promoting community building events
- Assistance with reporting, data collection, analysis and reporting
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Nuanced communication in a variety of mediums
- Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities
- Community event organization experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Interest and awareness of start-up lifecycle & environment
- Know social media tools and competitive landscape
- Comfortable with working independently and on tight timelines
Required Experience:
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- 1-2 years experience in community building, customer/brand-centric marketing, media relations, or event planning
- Established presence on social networks including review sites, blogs, news sites etc.
Bonus:
- Currently residing in either New York, Boston or Vancouver
- Experience working as a remote employee
- Spanish language ability an asset but not required
