Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Handle daily load tracing (inbound and outbound) for assigned territory
•Set appointments (origin and destination) for assigned territory
•Respond and provide prompt answers to customer questions
•Accurately communicate and manage daily equipment and pool management to improve efficiency
•Daily monitoring and updating of drayage events
•Meet/beat assigned metrics and goals
•Communicate effectively with vendors to create and maintain strong professional relationships, assisting them in all operational aspects
•Approve or deny any accessorial charges to vendors
•Complete or assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must be a full-time student in a relevant undergraduate degree program; including: Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related concentration
•Minimum of a 3.0 GPA preferred
•Must have housing secured prior to the start of the program
•Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interface with customers and internal personnel
•Strong organization, problem solving, decision making and analytical skills are required
•Must be eligible for employment in the U.S. without citizenry sponsorship
•Must work fulltime, from June-December 2013, to be eligible
