Assists Nurse Manager with ensuring that quality nurse care is delivered to all patients and his/her units in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education. Provides input into evaluation of staff performance in accordance with organization policies. Participates in nursing Quality Improvement. Assists with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development assess each patients age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
Current and active NJ RN licensure required Charge Nurse or demonstrated leadership skills required Minimum two years ED experience required CEN, TNCC Certification
BSN degree preferred or currently matriculating BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification required IV Certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire to Unit Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Excellent interpersonal skills Goal and out-come oriented Flexible, adaptable, reliable and ability to work independently within the medical team Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
