Description
International Policy Digest (IPD) is looking for an extremely competent copy editor to join its Foreign Policy and Foreign Affairs Copy Desk. The candidate will join a team that edits in-depth analysis, commentary, and research papers for multiple IPD platforms.

Successful candidate will be listed in the publications masthead as a copy editor and will include a short bio.
Requirements
Excellent news judgment and editing skills are an absolute must. A familiarity with international affairs, foreign policy, and geopolitics, is important to succeed in this job.
The ideal candidate will be adept at refashioning and trimming stories to appropriate length under time constraints, and will be comfortable with learning and using new technology.
The selected candidate will edit, in real time, the high-profile stories of the day. He or she will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
Related work at a wire service, university newspaper or publication is preferred but not necessary. Occasional weekend work is appreciated but not required.
