DescriptionThis position would support SMC/FM whose goal is to provide SMC with unrivaled superior financial management process, support, and services for the Space and Missile Center. This effort is to focus mainly on the cost estimating, cost analysis and acquisition support within the SMC/FM area. Some of the tasks may include:
Assisting customer to maintain central EVM data system tools, providing SMC info and analysis for programmatic decisions, e.g. dashboard, positions will also assist Government in developing, maintaining and updating SMC instructions, implementation, assist with Meetings, guides, and standardized processes IAW latest SMC, Air Force, DoD 5000 series regulations, OMB, and GAO directives. Could also assist the Government Acquisition Knowledge Management team, as well as help in the training of government personnel. As part of the FM Directorate, the employee could also Assist/assess in reviewing and assessing acquisition planning documents, IBR activities, analyze CPR, IPMR, IMS, CFSR, WBS and other technical packages, perform Contractor and Government Performance Analysis, and assist with EVM related activities.
Education: Baccalaureate degree (any field of study); operations research, economics, mathematics, chemistry, physics or other sciences where the utilization of advanced mathematical skills in geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, and/or quantitative analysis; or the equivalent financial defense acquisition experience required.
Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Seven (7) years Space Cost Estimating modeling experience required. Desired: Four (4) years proficiency with ACEIT. Expertise with other cost models (SEER, PRICE) highly desirable.
