DescriptionChat ‘N’ Chill® (http://chatnchill.com), a world reknown Bahamas beach bar and party place, PLUS its sister company, A Wedding Breeze, a full service destination wedding and marketing company geared toward educating and planning destination weddings for brides are currently seeking virtual interns. We have immediate opportunities for interns this semester at our fast growing company. This position is a part-time 4 (min) - 6 month internship. This is an unpaid position.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to gain professional experience, practical industry knowledge and build their portfolio in interior design and event management. This internship is mostly virtual, working primarily from your home and computer, but also able to meet in person via Skype once per week and optionally for an event, if you should choose, to travel to The Bahamas at the Chat ‘N’ Chill® Weddings & Beach Boutique studio/office (not required). Primarily we use a virtual system to update you on the week's priorities and you will have a systematized approach to the items that will be executed weekly.
ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a creative interior designer who will work closely with the Owner of the company to assist with various projects that may include, but are not limited to:
Concept design for weddings and special events
Space layouts and Inspiration boards
help to produce and work at company and/or client events
ssist in coordination of virtual bridal events
Logo design or prersonlized branding desing/theme for weddings
Brand Packaging and design for guest welcome gift packets and wedding favors
Coordinating with Graphic designer to carry wedding design through to stationery/wedding packaging (invitations, labels, envelopes, place cards, favors, escort cards, signage at the event, Golf cart decor, etc…)
Brainstorm and research creative ideas for featured posts and brand integration campaigns
Assembling Look Book of completed weddings for promotional use for online and in studio
Ability to balance and report progression on multiple projects
Attend weekly conference calls via Skype
The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, superior written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to details and an interest in weddings, fashion, decor and public relations as well as pop culture.
The ideal candidate is fashion forward, and has an appreciation for chic and timeless style. This candidate is aware of the latest trends in design, colors, patterns, and textures, is creative and has a contemporary out of the box approach to design. Knowledge of the wedding industry is a plus but not required. Since this is an internship, work experience is not as important as personality fit and skill set.
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Hours may range from 5 per week upward (10-15), depending on your skill level in these design and event management areas and your need for course requirements. School credit is not required but preferred. Internships run at a minimum of four month intervals; this is an unpaid internship. No high school students, please.
The ideal candidate must be professional, detail-oriented, extremely creative, have strong ability to think outside the box, possess strong communication skills, computer skills, and must be Internet savvy. Candidate must be experienced in working with design software, typography and branding.
