Description
We seek outstanding undergraduate and graduate students as Campus Reps for the current school year and for the summer to collaborate on the boldest nonprofit initiative we know.
We are looking for entrepreneurial, passionate, and energetic students with exceptional skills to take initiative on a range of projects. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity in an innovative, emerging nonprofit.
Responsibilities
Teachers and students are already getting supplies from ClassWish.org. Now, we need to raise greater awareness and encourage more participation so we can help more kids.
Campus Reps will promote various campaigns at their colleges. The first to launch is a micro-philanthropy program, which you can read about at http://ThankTheTeachers.org. College students are writing notes to former K-12 teachers to thank them for their support and to let them know of ClassWish.org, at the same time. This is a great way for teachers to learn of the opportunity to get needed resources, and it is a quick and easy way for college students to make a difference. Imagine how many teachers we could reach if even 25% of the students at your college each took just a couple of minutes to write to former teachers.
Campus Reps will promote Thank The Teachers on their campus, using a combination of direct outreach, social media, and other communications tools.
Requirements
Brains, heart, passion, energy, a notebook computer (as an early-stage nonprofit, we just can’t afford to buy dozens of machines), and a passion to make an immediate improvement to the education of tens of millions of children.
