Description

Documentaries & Development Project: SACREDSACRED is a major new documentary film that will document a year of religious life across seven continents. The film will cover major events such as Christmas in Bethlehem or the end of Ramadan in the Middle East, as well as lesser known days on the calendar like Bodhi Day in India. SACRED will take full advantage of the globally connected, mobile nature of 21st century filmmaking to cover more ground and embrace a wider array of religious traditions than any film on religion yet made. This internship is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of the television production industry. Interns will see first-hand how a large scale documentary project is researched and developed. The internship will involve heavy research in the history of religions and significant social media management to aid us in our search for filmmakers around the world who will contribute footage to the project. Best applicants will have very strong research and writing skills, be computer savvy, have social media and web skills, and a background or strong interest in television production and/or world religions.
