Kinema Fitness is in search for an intern to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for providing assistance in marketing and operations of the organization. A successful candidate will have excellent organization and project management skills, communication skills both internal and external, and have a very positive customer service approach. This position can be a great fit for an organized, detail-oriented individual who want to contribute to the company’s success.
This role will be responsible for assisting in the execution of marketing and sales strategies and initiatives to drive growth in current and new business in the Santa Monica area. This position will work on various projects and will coordinate and execute with the management team.
Responsibilities
• Updating Management daily with accomplishments
• Weekly conference calls to update on all activities and develop a new list of responsibilities
• Manage monthly class calendar and locations
• Creating an editorial calendar with fitness and nutrition tips, fitness and wellness news, and industry trends
• Daily updates to the website including, fitness and nutrition tips, class updates, and Kinema news
• Social Media updates – updating the social media sites with fitness and nutrition tips, fitness and wellness news, and industry trends
• Grow our social media community
• Develop and implement marketing tactics focusing our developing our current clients such as communication materials, posters, eblasts, brochures, etc
• Implement current marketing tactics such as tradeshow materials, prospective client brochures and presentations, leave behind, capabilities brochure
• Assist in revising our marketing site messaging and content and keeping it updated
• Assist and implement grass-root marketing efforts supported by online marketing
• Source networking opportunities and events in the Santa Monica area that Kinema can leverage
Requirements
• Advanced skill set with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Provide and recommend new marketing tactics to the management team in response to the company’s overall marketing strategy
• Candidate must have strong organizational skills and be in an accredited undergraduate program pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Management
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Aptitude to effectively interpret and use multiple information sources to develop tactical plans
• Attention to detail
• Web savvy, able to work with the internet and potentially new online software
• Assist in driving awareness of Kinema classes and services with existing and prospective clients through:
• Execute current communication field initiatives and strategies in conjunction with Corporate and Area marketing and sales initiatives
